Al Furjan is a Nakheel residential community in south-west Dubai, between Sheikh Zayed Road and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road. It has villas, townhouses and low-rise apartment buildings. Since 1 January 2021 the area has had its own metro station, Al Furjan, on the Red Line's Route 2020 branch.
What the area is
- The master developer is Nakheel; other developers build individual buildings and complexes.
- Homes are villas and townhouses, plus apartments in low-rise buildings.
- It is quieter and greener than the central tower districts; Discovery Gardens and Jebel Ali are next door.
Transport
Al Furjan station opened on 1 January 2021 with the neighbouring Route 2020 stations, the Red Line branch to Expo City. Jebel Ali, Dubai Marina and Expo City are easy to reach via Sheikh Zayed Road and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road.
Who it suits
- Families who want a villa or townhouse near a metro.
- People who work in Jebel Ali, Dubai Marina or Expo City.
- Buyers of both ready homes and new projects in an established area.
What to check before buying
